Obituary for Ellis "Harry" Leach Jr.

Mr. Ellis “Harry” Leach Jr., 73, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at the UK Chandler Medical Center in Lexington.
Harry or Jr, as he was known by family and friends was born on December 8, 1946 in Lee County, Virginia, and was the son of the late Ellis Sr. and Nora Morgan Leach. He was a retired employee of The Blue Grass Army Depot and was a Veteran of the U. S. Army. During his military service he served on an honor guard detail at Arlington National Cemetery. In addition, he was a great golfer and was a graduate of Madison Central High School.
Survivors include his daughter: Shane Leach of Lexington; two brothers: James Leach (Nancy) of Berea and Austin Leach (Maggie) of Milton, TN; one sister: Pauline Rorrer of Richmond; one grandson: Justin Morris of Nicholasville as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Irene Reed and Maxine Hamblin.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday afternoon at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Lakes officiating. The family will receive friends after 1:00 PM Sunday.
